During his remarks at the opening ceremony of the sixth National Assembly of GP Jamu (the association of jamu industrialists) on 25th April 2011 at the Vice Presidential Palace, His Excellency The Indonesian Vice President Boediono said that Jamu industry in Indonesia has grown to become a large scale industry from what used to be a home industry. This development further spurred the spirit of Jamu industry in Indonesia to continue its growth despite various challenges that have to be met.

In line with the development of Jamu towards becoming, among others cosmetics products, food supplements and health promoting stuff at spa's, PT Nyonya Meneer is keeping up with its new inventions to meet market demands. As for preserving Jamu as a national heritage, PT Nyonya Meneer has built Museum Jamu and Taman Djamoe Indonesia in Semarang.
